Intro:
Yes it is me, The Necromancer, finally writing my Review of, Blade of Darkness: Severance. The game is your average 3rd. Person Hack and Slash Game, with a little bit of Sniping in it as well... ;D. I love the sniping.... Oh, back to the review. Blade of Darkness is a game with, sadly, many flaws. Graphics is the main problem, because sometimes when u play the game, the graphics start to blur.
Storyline:
Basically, go and kill the bad guy before he takes over. The bad guy in this game is Dal Gurak, a big omnipotent (almost) guy in black armor, that looks freakin' cool..... and his attacks are freakin annoying.
Characters:
Name: Sargon
Life: 100
Attack: 1
Defense: 1
Age: 40
Height: 180 cm
Weight: 78 kg
Specialty: One-handed swords and shields
Information (from the game): Men of arms, the success of the King's
Knights is based on their organization, their knowledge of the art of
war and their superior armaments both in attack and defense.
Description:
He was one of my favorite characters, seeing as how he could pack a big ass HEAVY SWORD and a HUGE SHIELD at the same time and still be as fast as hell!! He is one of the more balanced characters. I would recommend him for Advanced Beginners.
Name: Naglfar
Life: 120
Attack: 2
Defense: 1
Age: 153
Height: 160 cm
Weight: 80 kg
Specialty: One-handed axes and shields.
Information (from the game): For countless generations, the Dwarves
have sought the most precious metals and jewels. Their hard but
peaceful way of life has made them a strong yet contemplative people.
Description:
I HATED this guy!! He was freakin' slow, he blocked slow, his attacks don't have very good distance. Basically when your trying to fight it's like trying to kill an elephant with a pebble. ALL of his combo attacks were the VERY SAME THING. If you go out and get this game, i would not recommend this guy at all, but if you think if you are freakishly good at this game, please by all means. (only for super advanced players)
Name: Zoe
Life: 60
Attack: 1
Defense: 0
Age: 19
Height: 170 cm
Weight: 58 kg
Specialty: Spears
Information (from the game): The Adventurers travel the world in search
of legendary treasure. They are nimble, resolute, daring, and seasoned
warriors. It is not uncommon to encounter them singly or in groups
wandering the highways or delving among the ruins of yesteryear.
Description:
OMG, i fell in love with her the first time i saw her quick abilities. (i didn't fall in love with her just for the obvious reasons, you perverts!!) She is the quickest character in the game. She uses spears. Normally, when you run, you are slowed down if you have your weapon in you hand. Not her, she runs her super fast speed even if she has her weapon in her hand or not. A great character for beginners.
Name: Tukaram
Life: 80
Attack: 2
Defense: 0
Age: 25
Height: 225 cm
Weight: 130 kg
Specialty: Two-handed swords and axes.
Information (from the game): A proud and independent people, Tukaram's
tribe pay no tribute to any power, nor do they recognize any Lord being
superior to themselves. They respect only armed force and the ancient
wisdom of their shamans.
Description:
This guy is the power-house!!! When he gets to max level his damage is unfathomable!! He has the biggest swords i have ever seen!!! Trigger would like this guy a lot, becuz what he does throughout most of his campaign is kill things!!! However, his attacks are kinda slower than others. (not as slow as Naglfar though) I recommend him for Advanced Players.
Sound: 9/10
Sound was excellent!! When ever you chopped someone's limb off, you could hear it splat on the ground. And then you could pick it up and beat people with it, HILARIOUS!!
Graphics: 8/10
Graphics were... okay at best. Sometimes though it would look all blurry at times, but hey!! Who can complain when you cut someone and their blood spurts all over you.
Overall: 9/10
I find this game to be an excellent game to play, not perfect. but hey what is?
Well, that's my review. Hoped you like it and give me some constructive critiscism about it, and i will give you credit in it.
Sincerely,
-The Necromancer
