I figured I should share my insight into this game with people who haven't played it, or for those starting or having trouble. I Should also mention that I have completed the information on the four playable sides of Star Wars Battlefront.
Please see the guidelines I posted in the SWBF Basics thread. This thread also belongs to those guidelines, but not as strictly.
Here are some basic tips for everyday playing of the game.
*Infantry is one of the best units in the game...regardless of level.
The infantry is a very versatility unit, and can be used in almost any circumstance. They may not always be best for it, but they should never be ruled out.
*Heavy support missiles lock on tips.
The Heavy support missile launcher locks on to opponents when they stay near the cross-hairs in the center of the scene. You don't have to hold any buttons down, but you must make sure that you have a clear line of sight, and you keep the target inside the circle-like outer cross-hair.
All the missile launchers have different attributes. the Rebels launcher fires two shots at once, and the ARC Troopers launcher has a second round in the chamber. Experiment with the different missile launchers to see the differences.
Mines can be used to distract other players as well as wrecking vehicles. When an opponent moves his cross-hair over a concealed mine it will appear like a person. This can distract a player in the middle of combat. (Sometimes, It got me once.)
*Pilots can make good shock troopers.
Believe it or not, most pilots can be used as shock troopers and can jump from vehicles behind enemy lines. Use the health dispenser to keep your health up as you capture enemy bases.
*Snipers can be used to view troop movements and signal fellow human team mates.
Sniper's sniper rifle has good range and vision. In multi-player matches use them to help partners in where enemies are. Keep in mind sniper rifles have different attributes.
Also, use the recon droid orbital strike enemy groups and vehicles. Recon droids can be destroyed prematurely, but when that happens it causes a small explosion that hurts nearby opponents. The small Blaster is able to kill opponents, but it isn't always worth it.
Anyways, I'm tired and Family Guy is on. I'll have more tips and tricks latter...
