Evil Sequel Characters
The scoop on Jill Valentine and Nemesis in Resident Evil: Apocalypse.
July 31, 2003 - Production on the Resident Evil sequel is set to get underway in just over a week in Toronto. Milla Jovovich, Oded Fehr (The Mummy), Jared Harris, and Emily Bergl (Taken) all star. And as you might already know, actress Sienna Guillory (USA Network's Helen of Troy and The Time Machine) was recently cast in the role of game favorite Jill Valentine. Many of you have shared your opinions on Ms. Guillory as Jill, and we thought we'd try to bring you a little more on the character. Sources close to the production have chimed in with the official description of Valentine's character as she's introduced in the film: "Dark hair, 20's, casual clothes. Her striking looks might make you forget what a top class police officer she is. A mistake many people have made before ā to their detriment."
IGN FilmForce can also confirm reports that classic Resident Evil baddie, The Nemesis, will appear in the film. Gaming fans can expect the creature's appearance to be similar to the game. Nemesis is described as "eight feet tall and humanoid" with "metallic pipes and tubes grown into his flesh." He is "incredibly muscular, scarred and disfigured" but has "clear blue eyes" ā striking reminders of a humanoid past.
Paul W.S. Anderson, writer/director of the first Resident Evil, penned sequel. Alexander Witt, second unit director on Daredevil, xXx, Black Hawk Down and Hannibal, will make his directing debut with the project.
