Hey everybody, it's me JPC, Here's MechaMan's Review of StarWars Rogue Squadron II. The Site B Team wishes each and everyone of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Great New Year.
I've always been a huge StarWars fan. This is one of there games that they made when the Gamecube first came out. It now has a sequel (Rogue Squadron III) That just came out. More on that later.
It is a great flight game even it your in a scifi jet fighter. The game play is mostly smooth and detailed. You get to pilot several ships and fighters. You can also walk around the hangers ,and check out the ships you could pilot. Unfortunetly, you can't jump out and duke it out with the storm troopers ,but that is fixed in the next game.
Althought, there are only a few levels. The levels are well done with plenty of somewhat smart enemies. The usual mission involves you escorting importent ships. However, you can also pull off bombing missions ,replay classic battles ,steal enemy ships ,and the classic seek-and-distroy missions.
Although you play from the rebelions side of the war. You can fly Imperial fighters ,and on some missions be Imperials! Some missions allow you to play as Darth Vader and kick good guy ass ,or shoot down your own men who disobey you commands. In the Empire failure is not an option ,but it's sure fun when it happens on some missions. You also start from diffent hangers when you play.
The normal ships you are allowed to play are the X-wing ,Y-wing ,A-wing ,and B-wing. The Millennium Falcon ,and snow speeders are also in a few levels. I'll post the secret ships with the codes.
In General, it look like a great game ,and I'm sure the price has fallen by now. However, I guess that the new Rogue Squadron is better. Anyway I'll post the codes ,ships ,and levels later.
Talk to you later,
Mecha Man
My reviews will be coming out in January, and Once Again Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
