It was a busy month for June, as we had the E3 coverage for several games in the PC Games section as we posted several of the e3 previews within the hour of the release of them, as with ODST, Reach and Metal Gear Solid, we are now aware that guest activity was a all time high for our E3 coverage, which tells us that this sudden influx of activity, we've got lurkers.
To the Lurkers: Don't be afraid to join up, we're open to community support, this is why Site B was made.

EA Confirms Battlefield 3

Yesterday Electronic Art's chief operating officer John Pleasants made some interesting comments pertaining to Battlefield 3

"I've had the luxury of looking at Battlefield 3 over at DICE in Sweden and was highly impressed by the way the team is working on that product," Pleasants said. "Of course, that's not [coming out] in the fiscal year, but that is a product that is looking very good."

Hopefully it will be worth the wait.



Also we will be combining the June Archive with the July Archive to free up space for this month, to avoid cluttering. We may be implementing this for future archives like a August/September archive etc.

On Thursday, July 2nd, Lucas Arts announced ""Amazing news coming Monday! Super excited! You have no idea how tough it is not to start yelling about it! But it's secret! Until Monday!"

They went into further detail, which is it's related to a existing IP. Hopeful fans (Me for example) hoped for Star Wars Battlefront 3, but the news is just as good.

Lucas Arts is going to be selling classics like Star Wars Battlefront 2,LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventure,The Dig and of course Star Wars Republic Commando.

Great to see LA embracing digital distribution.

Good evening all, we'd like to apologize for our last article for July, as summer has really given us some down time, we've been busy probably just like you and we are a little late on this one.

July was an interesting month, even though there was lack of gaming news, since Since E3 (In our PC section and our newest boards that have been added, such as Halo: Reach, AVP, Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising ) took the limelight in June, which we posted information about upcoming games within the hour of the announcement, we were sorta killed on article coverage, there was a interesting plot development for several Machinima's this month, Freeman's Mind, Civil-Protection, Red Vs. Blue and The Leet World, as in the world of Gordon Freeman his mind was blown away by the army blasting away at his co-workers and himself, Ross Scott has provided a very interesting Machinima based on everyone's favorite mute character Gordon Freeman, his wit and his charm make him the perfect voice actor for Gordon which fits even more, as the fan basis grows larger, he might turn into a machinima legend, like the Red vs. Blue voice actors and I keep wondering how Caboose became ever so popular.
And speaking of machinimas, what would you call a place where you can watch movies in a video game?

Recently,a new game-mode was released for the popular HL2 Sandbox mod "Garry's Mod". This game-mode is G-mod Tower.

It has been under development for a while now, and was just recently opened to the public. And boy do the G-mod Community love it. The server is a 60 slot server,and it is constantly full, 24/7. It took me personally 4 hours to get into the server!

But it was worth the wait, you spawn in the lobby of the "tower", where there is stores,a bar, a arcade, a theater and teleporters, to the other areas of the tower.

Let me start with the lobby, and describe all the areas.

Stores: There are different stores, Hat Stores, where you purchase hats that your player can wear, Furniture store, where you buy furniture to personalize your suite etc.

Bar: You can purchase alcohol here, which when consumed makes your screen tilt and every once and awhile, your player throw up. It's hilarious to travel to the bar after a party had been hosted there, and see all the puke stains around the place. It's a neat little addition that makes G-mod Tower all the more special.

Arcade: The arcade is pretty cool, they have arcade machines set up, that you may use at no cost, and what they are is flash games. For example, you can play the popular "Portal the flash version" right in the game-mode, and other popular flash games.There is also another 2 floors, the second one being Tic Tac Toe, and Tetris, and the 3rd being Trivia, which is on a range of subjects.

Theater: Now this is exciting, they have a entire movie theater set up in the lobby, where they show actual full-length movies! Just today I watched Spaceballs, and yesterday Ghostbusters from the comfort of G-mod! They also have new movies to, not just old ones, like The Dark Knight, and the new Nicholas Cage movie Knowing.

Teleporters: These are just simple machines that teleport you to diffrent floors of the tower, and there is only 3 so far, the lobby, the suites and the game-mode floor.

Next I'll talk about the suites.

There is only 10 suites for a server of 60, which makes them hard to get. But it's worth the wait, once in, you are given pieces of furniture off the bat, like a bed, a trunk, a radio, which plays music from the server itself, or online radio stations, and my favorite, a TV.

Now you can't actually watch TV on it, but you can do the next best thing. It's a youtube video player. Search up the video you want and you can watch it right there and then.

The only con of the TV is it's client-side, not server-side. Meaning if you have friends in your suite, they won't see what your watching, they'll just see a blank screen, you'd have to tell them to search up the video your watching for them to enjoy it with you.


And last but not least, the game-mode floor, so far they only have 2 gamemodes ready, but these ones are still loads of fun. The first is a kind of Monkey Ball game, You are in a big ball, and you have to get to the end. It's like playing human mini-golf.

The other is PvP battle, which is your usual death-match, but with loads of cool weapons, like a sword, baby grenades and a NES light gun.
